My Internally Displaced Persons, is a cause, focused on persons who have been forced to leave their homes due to armed conflict, situations of violence, and violations of human rights, who have not crossed an internationally recognised state border.
This cause is focused on supporting displaced persons to achieve self-reliance and end their protracted displacement by reducing the vulnerabilities that contribute to their prolonged stay in the camp. The vulnerabilities are being addressed by empowering displaced persons through psychosocial support, education & skill acquisition, business grants, resources, and humanitarian assistance.
For sustainability, this purpose will also be driven by advocacy for a comprehensive, evidence-based policy response focused on providing the tools that will enable displaced people to choose their preferred form of reintegration voluntarily and safely.
OBJECTIVES
