Hair Making

It was the first attempt at hair making for many, but they were determined to learn a skill that will enable them to earn a living sustainably. The women constantly talked about the need to feed their children and create a future for themselves.

RashidaYusuf during her project presentation said “Now, I look forward to opening my salon in Asokoro or Maitama in Abuja; I will charge N500 only for everything including hair attachment”.

I learned plaiting – the name of the style is “all back”. I also learned how to put beads on it. I am grateful to you people for coming. Now, I have hand-work to do. If I have money, I will open a salon and I will also be plaiting for my daughter. May God bless you.
