Children living in camps and host communities can be supported to improve their learning, social interactions and skills using educational activities like flashcards and jigsaw puzzles.
Flashcards help children to learn about numbers, animals, and body parts in both English and Hausa and the themed jigsaw puzzles create a fun way for children to learn, collaborate and solve problems.
Flashcards and jigsaw puzzles were distributed to 696 children in schools at the Kuchingoro and Area 1 camps for internally displaced people in Abuja, Nigeria. The items were distributed at the Sharing Prosperity School at the Kuchingoro IDP Camp, the Arise Academy School at the Area 1 IDP Camp and the Betharbel Foundation (Free Elementary School) at the Area 1 IDP Camp.
