Every year, millions of people are forced to flee their homes due to conflict, violence, persecution and human rights violations. Across the world, there are over 120 million forcibly displaced people as at mid-year 2024, with many of them living in protracted displacement. As geopolitical tensions, conflicts, persecution and disasters persist, this number is expected to continue to rise until the root causes of displacement are addressed. There is an urgency, and now is the time to take action.
